Resumé
Rekruttering af studerende til videregående tekniske og naturvidenskabelige uddannelserhar stadig stor opmærksomhed. I denne analyse diskuterer vi nogle af de dilemmaer rekrutteringsinitiativerstår i mht. at give uddannelsessøgende et grundlag for uddannelsesvalget som sikrer sammenhængmellem deres forventninger og kommende oplevelser på første år. En pointe i analysen er atdet formentlig både er rekrutteringsinitiativerne og førsteårserfaringerne som skal justeres hvis manvil opnå en bedre afstemning af forventninger og oplevelser. Analysen bygger dels på især danske ognorske undersøgelser af rekrutteringsinitiativer, dels vores egen forskning i unges valg af uddannelseog af risikoen for frafald.The recruitment of students for science and tech nology higher education programmes is still amatter of concern. This analysis discusses some of the dilemmas recruitment initiatives are facingwhen informing the decisions of future students. A particular concern is creating a bridge betweenexpectations and experiences of first-year students. The analysis points at the need to both considerthe recruitment material and the first-year learning experiences when linking expectations andexperiences. The analysis draws on mainly Norwegian and Danish studies of recruitment and theauthors’ own research on recruitment and retention of students.Referencer
