Resumé
De muligheder, vi og vores børn vil få for fremadrettet at skabe bedre livsbetingelser, afhænger i ekstrem grad af, hvordan vi forstår og håndterer vores teknologiske muligheder. Derfor bør moderne uddannelse omfatte viden om – og holdninger til – teknologi og teknologiske valg. Artiklen giver en oversigt over de sidste 30 års udvikling af en filosofi og didaktik, der ikke har fokus på forholdet mellem teknologi og samfund, men undersøger spørgsmål som: Hvad er teknologi for et fænomen? Hvordan opstår ny teknologi? Hvilken rolle spiller design? Hvilke egenskaber har teknologien, der gør, at vi er så afhængige af den?
