Abstract

The first point made in the article is, that contemporary poststructuralist studies of work life needs to be able to include emotions in the analysis of power relations in working life of people. The concepts presented in this article aims at re-tooling ontologist ways of seeing and knowing emotions in work life studies. By claiming relations between places and bodies as the generator of important, emotional aspects of the life in peoples work places, an analysis is produced which alternates essentialist and ontological concepts of emotion.
