Abstract

A plethora of times, I have encountered people with dementia at nursing homes who wants to go home but is instead told that "they are home". This makes me wonder what it means to go home and to feel at home. To find an answer, I have gathered accounts from next of kin as well as theory and research about home and nostalgia.
