Psychotherapy as a discipline and field of work is developing rapidly which is reflected in the rising demand of psychologists, the amount of psychotherapeutic research and the way in which psychology is practiced and unfolded in today's society. Development has seen the rise of new innovative treatments and therapeutic “products”, as well as attempts to collate these to shape a new narrative about psychotherapy. In this issue of Psyke & Logos we examine the tendencies of this current development.
This issue of Psyke & Logos is dedicated to Professor Esben Hougaard with thanks for his tireless work and commitment within the field of psychotherapeutic research and development. In this issue, we have in addition selected twelve articles that shed new light on renewal and tradition within a rapidly expanding area.
