Resumé

I følgende artikel undersøger vi ved hjælp af eksistenspsykologisk og kropsfænomenologisk teori, hvordan traumatisk dissociation kan forstås på baggrund af tidsbevidsthed og meningsdannelse. Vi gør et forsøg på at beskrive og forstå traumeramtes oplevelse af at befinde sig uden for sig selv, tiden og verden. Vi analyserer kropslig tidsbevidsthed, både i den oprindelige traumatiske situation og i efterfølgende genlevelser. Vores analyse viser, at peritraumatisk- og traumatisk dissociation kan forstås som et kollaps i tidsbevidsthedens intentionelle netværk, hvorved bevidsthedens evne til at strække sig mod fortid og fremtid forringes. Uden en fornemmelse for fortiden og fremtiden udfordres den traumeramtes meningsskabelse i det daglige liv, da en fornemmelse for tidslig kontinuitet er afgørende for oplevelsen af mening. Meningsdannelse sker i intersubjektive relationer og i relation til verden, og disse er betinget af en sammenhængende tidsforståelse. Dissociation influerer således de fleste aspekter i den traumeramtes livsverden.
