Denne artikel undersøger Thee Temple ov Psychick Youths (TOPY) struktur og metoder igennem en introduktion til templets centrale begreb om okkultur. Okkultur betegner et
skæringspunkt mellem kunst, politik og det okkulte, der kom til at fungere som socialt klister for kollektivet, der i løbet af 1980’erne voksede til at blive et internationalt netværk af ligesindede. Afslutningvist diskuterer artiklen fiktionalisering og verdensbygning som metode og reflekterer over, hvilken relevans historien om TOPY, der på forskellige tidspunkter blev udråbt til at være personlighedskult, fanklub og kunstkollektiv, har for nutiden.
