DUNK 2025 Theme Issue: Learning Objectives and Assessment
Following the theme of The Danish Network for Educational Development in Higher Education (DUNK) 2025, we invite submissions that address what knowledge and competencies students should acquire and how we ensure that they learn the intended material.
We especially welcome contributions from DUNK as well as submissions that in various ways examine and illuminate one or more of the central questions that DUNK 2025 focuses on, including:
The Master’s Reform
- What consequences does the Master’s reform have for core subject expertise, graduates’ competency profiles, and progression within degree programmes?
- Based on the Master’s reform: How can we meaningfully connect theory and practice, promote inclusive teaching, and create flexible educational pathways?
Digitalisation and Generative AI
- What significance does digitalisation and generative artificial intelligence have for what students should learn and for assessment methods and practices?
- How can or should digitalisation and artificial intelligence be integrated into pedagogy, course development, competency profiles, course descriptions, learning activities, and assessment methods?
Tensions
- What impact does a strong focus on learning objectives and assessment have on curriculum development and pedagogy?
- What is the right balance between generic competencies (e.g., collaboration and critical thinking) and core subject expertise?
