Submission: Inspiration
DUT Inspiration is created by one or more experts whom we invite to share their recommendations for key texts on a given topic. The expert selects three texts – these may be scientific articles, books or other material – which they consider particularly worth reading, inspiring or important to know in order to understand or practise within the selected topic.
The purpose of Inspiration is to give readers an insight into or a shortcut to the most relevant and inspiring texts that can strengthen university teaching practice and knowledge. The selection does not need to follow strict academic criteria; instead, we emphasise that the selected texts are important to know, have made a difference to the contributor themselves and/or can inspire improved university teaching practice.
Who can submit an Inspiration?
If you have a suggestion for an Inspiration, please send an email to the DUT editorial team describing your idea. We do not accept Inspirations that have been prepared without prior agreement. Once an agreement has been made regarding an Inspiration publication, you will receive author guidelines and the template in which the article should be submitted.
Contributors may also be invited by the DUT editorial team to write about a topic that the editorial team considers particularly relevant or important.
Review process
Inspiration articles undergo editorial review, which means that an Inspiration article that is accepted for publication will receive editorial comments to help the author improve their manuscript.
