Journal History
Dansk Tidsskrift for Akutmedicin (eng. Danish Journal of Emergency Medicine) was established by the Danish Society for Emergency Medicine (DASEM) in 2016. The first issue of the journal was published on January 18, 2018.
The journal is published at least twice a year – in summer and winter – and features original, peer-reviewed content in the field of emergency medicine.
Focus and Scope
The purpose of the journal is
- to be an online open-access platform for knowledge sharing in the emergency field
- to support professional, cultural, and organizational development in the emergency field
The target audience for the journal is healthcare professionals with an interest in the emergency field.

- Editorials
- Summaries of original articles
- Review articles
- Original, development, and quality articles
- Summaries of dissertations
- Clinical guidelines
- Protocol articles
- Case reports
- Abstracts (only in connection with annual meetings/conferences and specialty training/emergency training)

This journal does not charge any submission fees, article processing charges (APCs), or other publication-related costs.

Authors retain the copyright to their work upon publication in Dansk Tidsskrift for Akutmedicin.
