Resumé

Denna artikel är en sammanfattning av en doktorsavhandling (Mickelsson, 2023) som jämfört tre olika interventioner och dess påverkan på välbefinnandet hos elever med särskilda behov i årskurs 3 och 7 i en kommun i södra Finland. Alla tre insatser genomfördes en gång i veckan under vårterminen, 8 veckor totalt från februari till maj. I denna studie är huvudinterventionen icke-verbal och utformas av informella inlärningsaktiviteter med häst som kallas socialpedagogisk hästverksamhet (i denna studie EASE). EASE interventionerna utfördes i stallmiljö. De andra två insatserna genomfördes i klassrum. Aggression Replacement Training® (ART) är ett program som är utformat för att utveckla handlingssätt genom att lära ut hantering av ilska och öka social kompetens. Gemensam matematik (MATH) utgår från att eleverna samarbetar i par eller grupper för att kunna lösa matematiska problemlösnings uppgifter. Förutom interventionsgrupperna fanns det en vanlig traditionell grupp (TAU) som representerade en passiv kontrollgrupp.
