Artiklen er en analyse af Second Lifes egnethed som platform for udvikling af et 3D-online læringsmiljø, der er inspireret af ideerne bag edutainment og pervasive learning.
Analysen er hovedsalig baseret på en undersøgelse foretaget af studerende på multimediedesigneruddannelsens 3. semester i emnet samfund og teknologi. De studerende fik til opgave at se på betingelserne for kommunikation, socialisering, videndeling og samarbejdsmuligheder på Second Life.
I artiklen videregives essenser af de studerendes undersøgelse af Second Life, og sammenholdt med egen viden omkring undervisning og onlinelæringsmiljøer foretages en analyse, der munder ud i en samlet anvisning med inspiration til et spændende, meningsfuldt og engagerende læringsmiljø på Second Life.
