AI som underviser: Coping med Copilot gav nye indsigter

Resumé

AI-assistenter anvendes i stigende grad på videregående uddannelser (Abgaryan, Asatryan, & Matevosyan, 2023; Hashmi, Li, Parise, & Shankaranarayanan, 2024; Spanos, 2024) til individuel læring. Forskning om AI-assistenters rolle i holdundervisning er begrænset (Kim et al. 2022). Dette studie undersøger, hvad der sker i læringsrummet, når undervisning faciliteres gennem Copilot på et helt hold en hel dag og er relevant for undervisere. Metodisk blev indsamlet via deltagerobservation, mobiletnografi og fokusgruppeinterviews, samt analyseret gennem en kvalitativ tolags analyse med induktiv og deduktiv kodning. Undersøgelsen viser, at de multimediedesignstuderende på erhvervsakademi Zealand oplevede AI som en smart lærings- og responsmaskine til faglig dialog. Resultatet indikerer flere udfordringer end muligheder. AI’s ustabilitet flyttede fokus fra faglighed til teknik, og overfladiske svar skabte faglig usikkerhed blandt studerende. Eksperimentet bidrager med ny viden, der fremhæver vigtigheden af at kombinere AI med traditionelle læringsmetoder og kilder, samt at AI-assistenter i holdundervisning kræver tydelig struktur og vejledning.
