Resumé

Et valgfag på statskundskabsstudiet blev gennemført uden brug af computere og mobiltelefoner i undervisningslokalet. Afskåret fra internettets og mobiltelefonens distraktioner oplevede de studerende styrket lytning, hukommelse, koncentration og fokus. De vurderede i hovedtræk effekten på deres læreproces som positiv.

Mange oplevede, at deres håndskrevne noter blev mere selektive og relevante, mens andre frygtede, at deres noter i længden ikke var nyttige, og de savnede Powerpoint-præsentationer til ”opslag.”

I tech-fri undervisning kan det være en god ide at styrke undervisningens visuelle side, herunder tavleorden, udleverede handouts og tillige undervisning i notetagning.

Det kræver en overvindelse at nå frem til tech-fri undervisning. Man skal ikke bruge de studerendes forhåndsforventninger som beslutningsgrundlag, for de studerendes faktiske oplevelser med tech-fri undervisning er samlet set langt mere positive end deres holdning på forhånd.
