Why Submit Your Article to the Danish Journal of Emergency Medicine?

The Danish Journal of Emergency Medicine aims to promote knowledge sharing within the field of emergency care. The journal seeks to support professional, cultural, and organizational development in the emergency medicine landscape.

As a researcher, clinician, or project leader, it is essential to disseminate important findings — not only internationally, but also nationally and locally. Sharing knowledge with frontline clinicians who address these issues daily is key to ensuring the implementation and real-world impact of your results.

This journal does not charge any submission fees, article processing charges (APCs), or other publication-related costs.

We invite all professionals working on relevant projects within emergency medicine to submit their work to the journal. Below are examples of article types suited to different author profiles:

For established researchers:

  • Summaries of original research articles

  • Summaries of PhD or doctoral dissertations

For smaller research and quality improvement projects:

  • Review articles

Organisation

The Danish Journal of Emergency Medicine is owned by the Danish Society for Emergency Medicine (DASEM).
The editorial board is appointed by DASEM.
