Abstract

A number of social workers have been interviewed about their ' emotional work ', i.e. what feelings they emphasise, how they work with them, which emotional states and cultures which are prioritised in everyday life and what is accepted as obvious, among other things, difficult or unwanted. The paper illustrates how social workers working with people with mental and physical disabilities, attributes the emotional relationship significance.
