Kunsthistoriens krise og polykrisen, eller: hvorhen kunsthistorie?

Abstract

The article is a discussion of the relation between the current crisis of art history and the so-called “polycrisis” or “epochal crisis” we are confronted with today. In the 1970s the New Art History sought to re-politicise art historical scholarship drawing on then current ideas of Left or revolutionary science. Today few of these ideas remain and we are confronted with Right-wing campaigns against so-called “activist research”.
