Om blodets animerende egenskaber i 1600-tallets magi og videnskab

I 1600-tallets Danmark blev blod forbundet med vitale egenskaber og brugt i forbindelse med behandling af en lang række sygdomme. Forestillinger om det helbredende blod fandtes både indenfor helbredende magi og medicin. Forskellige opskrifter foreskrev, hvordan det friske blod kunne smøres direkte på kroppen eller tørres og blandes med urter som del af en helbredende mikstur. Blod kunne også drikkes varmt, direkte fra åren. Artiklen undersøger forskelle og ligheder mellem magisk og medicinsk anvendelse af blod i perioden i lyset af Reformationens kamp mod magi – både den helbredende og den dæmoniske.
