About the Journal
Aims and Scope
DJES – Danish Journal of Education Studies – is a platform for examining and discussing issues in educational science related to education and learning within a societal context. This includes perspectives on organisation, management, administration, governance, and knowledge policy concerning education, pedagogy, teaching, and skills development that individuals pursue. It also explores the tension between society and the individual at local, national, and transnational levels.
DJES aims to strengthen the field of Educational Studies both internally and externally through the publication of peer-reviewed articles and other research dissemination and debate contributions. DJES supports the preparation and dissemination of scientific investigations and discussions as an 'open access' journal that connects authors from diverse backgrounds with a common professional focus. DJES welcomes both academic and practical contributions, as well as submissions from both Danish and international authors, at various career stages, based on the belief that bringing together diverse perspectives fosters a more nuanced discussion.
The editorial team at DJES operates with a vision that editors, reviewers, and mentors support and enhance the work in an engaged and constructive way. The team aims to provide researchers at all career stages with experience in editorial tasks and peer review. DJES is based at the Department of Education Studies, DPU, Aarhus University, but is managed by an editorial team spanning departments, institutes, and organisations.
