Author Guidelines

Submissions to Studier i pædagogisk filosofi are received and reviewed year-round.

Requirements for submitted manuscripts:

  1. To be accepted for peer-review:

The submitted manuscript has not been previously published, nor has it been sent to any other journal for consideration.

The manuscript is uploaded as a Word or RTF file. Authors will have to register: http://ojs.statsbiblioteket.dk/index.php/spf/user/register. 

The manuscript should contain a short abstract (100 words), that describes the content and goal of the article. It should also contain keywords, but no more than 10.

The manuscript must be anonymized, that is to say no auto-references ("my article..."), and author information should be removed from the information given in the file information, not just the text in the document.

Length: 30.000-80.000 keystrokes, including everything (footnotes, spaces, bibliography, etc.). 

Language: English, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian

  1. If the manuscript is accepted for publication:

The manuscript must satisfy the criteria for "Notes And Bibliography" at http://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/tools_citationguide.html 

Please put references in footnotes. All quotes that are not in our publications languages must be translated; the original quote can be included in a footnote.

Institutional affiliation (e.g. university, university college, etc) must be included as well.

The manuscript must be begin a short abstract (maximum 100 words) in English.

Reviews:

Suggestions for books for reviewing can be sent to our review editors at spf-anm@paedagogiskfilosofi.dk. Please include postal address.
Is the suggestion is accepted (as note, review or essay), the editors will have the book(s) sent to the reviewer’s adress.

Length in keystrokes: Notes: 2.000, Reviews: 8.000, Essays: 20.000.

Essays must be sent it, like regular articles, for peer review.

Anmeldelser

Forslag om bog til anmeldelse med angivelse af anmelders postadresse sendes i første omgang til anmeldelsesredaktion.
Hvis forslaget godtages (som note, anmeldelse eller essay), sørger redaktionen for at bogen (bøgerne) tilsendes anmelderen.
Bognoter 2.000 anslag, anmeldelser 8.000 og essays 20.000.

Copyright Notice

The author(s) and the journal share the Copyright, and must both be credited when using (e.g. quoting from or distributing) published material. Articles published in Studier i Pædagogisk Filosofi (Studies in Philosophy of Education) may be used (downloaded) and reused (distributed, copied, cited) for non-commercial purposes with reference to the authors and publication host. Manuscripts submitted to Studier i Pædagogisk Filosofi may not have been previosly published - however, Studier i Pædagogisk Filosofi does allow for its published articles to be published in other journals by the author, after approval from the editors. Articles may be uploaded in institutional repositories if the author is required to so as part of a grant or institutional requirement.

Privacy Statement

The names and email addresses entered on this site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of the journals and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.  

Information about a user will be saved as long as the user is active. If the user has been inactive for a year, the user will be contacted by e-mail. If the user does not respond to this e-mail, the user account and information about the user will be deleted after 1 month. If the user has participated in editorial work (e.g. as an editor, guest editor, or reveiwer), or has submitted an article to a journal, the user account and information will be saved for 3 years after the last editorial job or submission.
