Denne artikel vil indgå i det kommende nr. RvT 77 om biografier og livshistorier i religionsvidenskaben

ENGLISH SUMMARY: The starting point of this essay is the Jesus-biography in the four gospels in The New Testament. The discussion intends to demonstrate that the biography is a basis of Christianity as a religious system, more particularly its inter-lacement of the concepts of God and man, its worship, morality, and mission to ex-pand in the world.

NORSK RESUME: Utgangspunktet for artikkelen er Jesus-biografien i Det nye te-stamentets fire evangelier. Drøftingen intenderer å vise hvordan denne biografien danner grunnlaget for kristendommen som religionssystem, nærmere bestemt helheten av dens gudsbegrep, menneskesyn, moral, kultus og misjon.
