Norsk Ordbok som dialektordbok

Abstract

The paper begins with a short outline of the treatment and integration of dialeetal words in Norsk
Ordbok. This is followcd by a valuation of the validity and representativity of the dictionary's source
material on this point, on the basis of same cxamplcs. Among other things a regional Norwegian usc of
the interjeetion hurra ' hurrah' is diseussed. The overall imprcssion is that words of everyday speech
from the eontcmporary or the ncar past might be underrcprcsented.
