Abstract

On dominant trends in religio-historical scholarship, from the 1970’ies until 2022: (1) Anthropology of religion and structuralism; (2) Theory of religion and ritual; (3) History of religion in a cultural-evolutionary context ‒ and how they have influenced my own research and teaching.
