Medindflydelse som en vej til målcommitment: ledelse på de almene gymnasier

Resumé

Målstyring er i dag et udbredt redskab indenfor offentlig ledelse. Formålet med målstyring er at sikre, at hele organisationen arbejder for at indfri de samme organisatoriske mål. Et centralt spørgsmål er dog, hvordan offentlige ledere kan sikre medarbejdernes engagement i mål, som lederen har valgt at prioritere – eller medarbejdernes målcommitment, som det benævnes i litteraturen. Denne artikel undersøger betydningen af medindflydelse for sammenhængen mellem lederes målprioritering og medarbejderes målcommitment på de danske almene gymnasier. Medindflydelse har et potentiale for at skabe en fælles retning og committede medarbejdere og kan dermed være et værdifuldt værktøj for offentlige ledere i målstyringsprocesser. En analyse af ti kvalitative interviews med lærere og rektorer giver her et nuanceret indblik i begrebet medindflydelse i en dansk uddannelseskontekst, og en kvantitativ analyse af to parallelle spørgeskemaundersøgelser med 73 rektorer og 1353 lærere viser, at medindflydelse har en positiv effekt på sammenhængen mellem rektorers prioritering af målet om en høj gennemførelsesprocent og lærernes commitment til målet.
