Et bidrag til studiet af ikke-reciprok social eksklusion

Abstract

The article is a case study of a boy, who is socially isolated in his school environment. Based on observations, which are analyzed by the use of Erving Goffman’s theory of social interaction, the article aims to typify the type of exclusion that he is subjected to. The article thereby contributes to the study of social exclusion in micro-sociological contexts by proposing a distinction between reciprocal and non-reciprocal social exclusion, as well as by describing a form of non-reciprocal social ex- clusion, which is termed “make-participation”.
