Abstract

The article deals with ethical and epistemologi- cal aspects of a research project with young people in vulnerable positions. The partici- pants of the project have in different ways objected to academic texts which deconstruct the participants’ life stories and “take them apart”. The researcher and the participants have thus worked explorative towards an in- volving research process and “a different kind of book”, which aims at representing (in the double sense of both making visible and con- stituting) participants as subjects of research as well as objects of research. The article focus on poetic representations as a central way of creating dialogue with participants in the pro- cess of interpretation and a way of representing participants’ perspectives in the communication of research.
