About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Nordisk Tidsskrift for Informationsvidenskab og Kulturformidling is a peer-reviewed journal that addresses current trends and issues in the field of information and culture. The journal is published by the University of Copenhagen.

NTIK publishes new research in information studies and the cultural field. We wish to reflect the diversity within the field; accordingly, we understand information studies and cultural dissemination in its broadest sense. All contributions relating to cultural institutions, digitalisation information and media studies as well as communication studies are welcome. The primary target group is researchers and stakeholders in the above-mentioned academic fields. NTIK is published three times per year. We publish both thematic issues, that addresses specific themes in information studies and cultural dissemination and issues with mixed contents.

Peer Review Process

Submitted articles are peer reviewed to ensure a high level of quality. Two peer reviewers are assigned to each article according to the subject. The journal uses double blind peer review. The editor decides on publishing after the review process and informs the contributor.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

1979–2004: The journal was named Biblioteksarbejde

2005–2011: Name change to Dansk Biblioteksforskning. 

2012– : New name change to Nordisk Tidsskrift for Informationsvidenskab og Kulturformidling.
