Resumé

The works under review are new editions of the biggest modern English-Swedish and
Swedish-English dictionaries in existence at the present time (129 000 "words and
phrases" each). The reviewer recognizes the unique position of the two dictionaries
but identifies a number of inconsistencies and shortcomings concerning both the
application of Iexicographical principles and the reliability of the factual content.
