En kort oversigt over islandsk ↔ tysk leksikografi

Resumé

Bilingual German ↔ lcelandic dictionaries have been produced since 1886. In this
paper I will give a short description of the existing German <-+ Icelandic dictionaries
concentrating on the question: Who writes why what kind of dictionaries when and
for what user groups? This question will be answered in a cultural and historical
context of the author's life and work and the status of German+-+ lcelandic lexicography.
