Abstract

The purpose of the article is to convey analysis and findings form the project Brug af video i Læreruddannelsen (Uses of video in teacher education) with the research question “When and how can student teachers with videos form Danish elementary schools exceed binarity in theory-practice, and could this strengthen their ability to think and work with didactics in L1-education”? The article is built on a new- materialistic approach, where theories are no different form practices (Lenz Taguchi, 2010; Olsson, 2009). With the concepts of intra-activity (Barad 2007), unpredictability and enchantment, the article discuss, how videos from Danish elementary schools could frame student teachers for thinking and re-imagining possibilities in contingency and complexity.
