Beyond the Anthropocene A Postnational Social Alternative in Darcy Ribeiro’s “Ivy-Marãen: A Terra Sem Males, Ano 2997”

Resumo
O conto utópico “Ivy-Marãen: A Terra Sem Males, Ano 2997”, escrito pelo antropólogo e escritor brasileiro Darcy Ribeiro em 1997 e publicado postumamente em 2008, aborda de forma crítica as injustiças sociais e políticas que as minorias indígenas e as pessoas de cor têm de suportar desde a proclamada descoberta eurocêntrica do continente americano. No escopo deste artigo, argumento que o texto narrativo é uma forte tentativa ficcional de dar voz às minorias sem voz, bem como de desmantelar sua marginalização constantemente reiterada. Em sua narrativa, o autor não apenas retoma o antigo mito de “Ivy-Marãen”, “a terra sem males” e, ao mesmo tempo, torna-o acessível até mesmo para leitores inexperientes e sem treinamento, mas também exibe uma visão do futuro convívio a partir de uma perspectiva não branca e não eurocêntrica. Como será esclarecido em uma análise crítica do texto, essa alternativa social ao presente baseia-se em um pós-nacionalismo que vai além do Antropoceno.
