Special issues
It is a tradition that the last issue of NOMAD each year is a thematic issue with invited guest editors. The intention of a thematic issue is to bring together researchers with a certain interest from all Nordic and Baltic countries. The work with a thematic issue takes place over almost two years. Research papers published in a special issue undergo the same rigorous peer review process as papers for regular issues, and an invitation to submit to a special issue is not a guarantee of acceptance in the final issue.
The theme for 2026 is Revisiting democracy and diverse literacies in the context of Nordic mathematics education.
The theme for 2027 is Algebraic practice in classrooms and beyond.
Call for papers – Algebraic practice in classrooms and beyond
We welcome proposals for future special issues. A proposal should include a title, guest editors, background and aims and a timeline. Send proposals to andreas.eckert@gu.se
