Liderlighedens fædreland - Noter om pornografiens frigivelse og religionsspørgsmålet

Abstract

This essay discusses the discursive formations surrounding the legalization of pornography in Denmark in the late 1960s. The focus of the essay is the question of the changing cultural positions of both sexuality and religion in this period when both fields underwent a significant politicization. The essay stresses how visual artists took up sexuality and religion in their works, particularly as seen in the case of situationist artist Jens Jørgen Thorsen in his repeated reworking of a sexualized Christ figure.
