Abstract

Men appear to be less engaged in the climate crisis and the green transition compared to women. In this article, we present a focused literature review of key studies within the field that attempt to explain this gender gap. The purpose of the article is twofold: to introduce and unpack the research field for those who are not familiar with it and to identify and explore the patterns, themes, and contradictions presented in the research literature to critically discuss their contributions.
