Den offentlige organiserings materialitet: et studie af fysisk organisering og social interaktion i lokale sundhedshuse

Artiklen undersøger, hvordan den offentlige organiserings materialitet i lokale sundhedshuse former borgernes sociale interaktion med sundhedshuse, hinanden og de professionelle. Etableringen af lokale sundhedshuse giver en unik mulighed for at studere betydningen af organiseringens fysiske rammer for mødet mellem borgere og det offentlige. Artiklen bygger på 22 borgerinterview samt on-site-observationer af fysiske rammer, organisering af service og sociale interaktioner i 19 sundhedshuse. Vi viser, hvorledes indretning af sundhedshuse og deres receptioner samt brug af informationsobjekter får betydning for borgernes sociale interaktion i sundhedshusene og deres forventninger til mødet med det offentlige i en konkret fysisk sammenhæng. Vi finder, at de lokalt forankrede sundhedstilbud kan fremstå mere eller mindre ritualiserede for borgerne, afhængigt af hvilken opførsel de fysiske og organisatoriske rammer inviterer til. Ved at bruge et datagrundlag og observationsdata, som er forholdsvis sjældne i statskundskab og studier af offentlig forvaltning, bidrager artiklen således til at revitalisere den forholdsvis begrænsede mikrosociologiske litteratur af fysiske rammers betydning for offentlig organisering og forvaltning.
