Abstract

This article explores how pedagogues create professionalism stretched between individual professional ideals, ethical and pedagogical standpoints and a political learning agenda, which frames what is considered ‘good’ pedagogy in day cares. The article is a minor edited version of my PhD-defense over the thesis “Original pedagogues – Day care pedagogues’ professionalism(s) in the light of an insistent learning agenda”. The defense took place on Friday 6th May 2017 at Aarhus Uni- versity (DPU). The purpose of the PhD-project is to explore how pedagogues are turned into political subjects who are responsible for mak- ing the learning strategies work in daily pedagogical practice.
