A number of greater dictionaries have found themselves compelled to publish a supplement in one or more volumes in arder to improve the original work. This paper deals with three Danish dictionaries and, conceming an integration of the main dictionary and the supplement, The Oxford English Dictionary. The paper argues against a similar project regarding to Ordbog over det danske Sprog.
