Fire tematiske ordbøger fra renæssancens Danmark
Resumé
This article offers a short presentation of four thematic dictionaries from the Danish
Renaissance, viz. Jon Tursen: Vocabularius rerum (1561), Henrik Smith: Libellus vocum
Latinarum (1563), P[oul] N[ielsen] H[ingelberg]: Vocabulorum variorum expositio (1576),
and Mads Pors: De nomenclaturis Romanis (1594). As the titles imply the main purpose
of these dictionaries was the teaching of Latin; however, I am more interested in their
representation of the Danish vocabulary. The article deals with various aspects of the
dictionaries, mainly their structure and their sources.
