Abstract

Are climate changes really only caused by humans? In this thought-provoking article in KVANT, Erik Høg challenges the common narrative of CO₂ as the main villain in the climate crisis. Based on an international research group's extensive analysis of the sun's influence on the climate, the article scrutinizes the assumptions and datasets of the UN Climate Panel. It gathers reactions from both geophysicists and astronomers – some skeptical, others open-minded – and gives space to the nuances in the climate debate, which rarely get a voice.

Read on to get insight into a professional and timely challenge to climate consensus – and a rare example of how scientific disagreement can be both factual and stimulating.
