Resumé

20. Century Protestant theology is to a large extent build upon a disjunction of time and space. In its effort to separate between Biblical and Greek ways of thinking, Protestant theology has treated “space” as an expression of a distinctly Greek worldview, whereas “time” has been taken as the basic concept of a distinctly Biblical and hence genuinely Christian worldview. K.E. Løgstrup started off within this tradition, but through his investigations of the concept of time, and his philosophy of Creation, Løgstrup rediscovered the concept of space as a necessary counterbalance to the annihilating process of time. This rediscovery affects a number of issues from ontology to ethics and aesthetics. Thus Løgstrup is one of the most important thinkers of “space” in modern protestant theology.
