Vol. 2 No. 1 (2026): Special Issue: Future-oriented Pedagogies in Practice: Innovation and Agency

Editors: Michael Breum Ramsgaard, Jeppe Kiel Christensen og David Thystrup Mehlsen

This special issue explores future-oriented pedagogies through particularly short article formats. It focuses on how innovative pedagogical and didactic approaches, ideas, and rethinking can strengthen future-readiness in higher education. With an emphasis on practice-based examples, critical perspectives, and creative methods, the issue highlights how educators and institutions can create learning environments that foster academic depth, innovation, and action competence.

The articles vary in format and themes, ranging from experimental teaching methods and technology-supported learning to reflections on pedagogical ethics and the competence needs of possible futures. How can we prepare our education systems, students, educators, and society for futures we cannot yet fully articulate? How can possible futures provide frameworks for rethinking future-oriented pedagogies?

The Special Issue contains articles in Danish and English and is therefore published as two issues of SITE.
