About the Journal
Journal for Social Innovation & Transformative Entrepreneurship Education (SITE)
Established in 2024, SITE is a new Danish electronic, non-profit, open-access, and peer-reviewed journal. SITE supports and disseminates development and research within three main areas:
-
Social Innovation: How professionals, citizens, relatives, and other volunteers—together and individually—can help promote sustainable social development and improve people’s living conditions and opportunities for active participation in society and their own lives.
-
Entrepreneurship Education: How and under what conditions teaching and development in professional education programs can foster students’ and educators’ desire and ability to make innovative and/or entrepreneurial, value-creating, and responsible contributions to their professions, society, and the world around them.
-
Education for Sustainable Development: How educational programs and professions can work holistically with the triple bottom line—economic, social, and environmental—and which key competencies are essential for educators to support sustainable futures.
Peer Review Process for Research Articles
Peer review adheres to the standard editorial policies and procedures of peer-reviewed scientific journals, aiming to maintain a high level of integrity and credibility in academic content.
A scientific article is understood as one that presents independent and original research-based knowledge—i.e., new insights into practice or new methodological, theoretical, or empirical understanding. The article must include a clear research question, methodological considerations, and a coherent, well-structured argument, while also demonstrating a sufficient awareness of the current state of research in the field.
The editorial board invites authors to submit original manuscripts to the journal. All submissions undergo anonymous peer review (double-blind) to ensure the highest possible scientific quality.
Review Process for Communicative and Experimental Formats
SITE also invites submissions of communicative articles and other experimental formats. These are reviewed during editorial meetings. Read more about the acceptance criteria under communicative articles and experimental formats.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content based on the principle that free public access to research supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
