Length
The maximum length for articles is 8000 words and the maximum length for reviews is 3000 words.

Language
Texts in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish or English are accepted.

Title, abstract and keywords
All articles must be submitted with a title and abstract in English. The abstract should be short, instructive and precise (200-250 words) and include the articles theme and conclusions.

Select 5-7 keywords and include them after the abstract.

References
Nordic Journal of Library and Information Studies adheres to the latest version of the APA (American Psychological Association) reference style. It is the responsibility of the author to ensure that the submission complies with the APA guidelines.

Tables and figures
Tables and figures adheres to the latest version of APA (see link above).

Notes
Do not use footnotes for references. Authors may use endnotes for other purposes than references, but only if necessary.

Declaration of interest

To support transparency, we encourage all authors of articles and book reviews to include a “Declaration of interests” section after the main text, before the references. When applicable, please declare:

  • Research funding
  • Positions that you have been involved with that is related to this study (e.g. if a book reviewer has served at the committee of the thesis that is being reviewed)
  • If you are holding a position as a NJLIS editorial committee member at any time during the processing of your submitted article
