Open call for papers to Nordic Journal of Library and Information Studies vol. 7, no. 1
Nordic Journal of Library and Information Studies (NJLIS) is a scholarly, peer-reviewed, open-access journal focusing on research and emerging developments in Library and Information Studies. The journal publishes peer-reviewed LIS articles from the Nordic countries as well as international contributions, along with reviews of significant LIS literature. The editorial committee consists of representatives from LIS departments in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, and the editorship rotates annually among committee members. NJLIS is published on the University of Copenhagen’s online journal platform, tidsskrift.dk.
Articles are published on a continuous basis as they are accepted.
This is an open call for article submissions for inclusion in the first issue of volume 7 (2026).
Deadline for full paper submissions: June 15, 2026.

General guidelines
Manuscripts submitted to NJLIS must be original and may not be under consideration for publication elsewhere or previously published in another journal.

All manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s submission portal: https://tidsskrift.dk/njlis/about/submissions
Length
Articles should not exceed 8,000 words.
Language
Submissions are accepted in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, or English.
References
Nordic Journal of Library and Information Studies follows the most recent edition of the APA (American Psychological Association) referencing style.
Peer review process
All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Final publication decisions are made by the editor following the review. The editor may also decline manuscripts prior to review if they fall outside the journal’s scope, do not meet scholarly standards, or fail to follow the author guidelines.
Open access policy
The journal offers immediate open access to all published content, based on the principle that free and unrestricted access to research promotes wider dissemination and global knowledge exchange.
