About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Leviathan: Interdisciplinary Journal in English publishes exam papers of students from all three legs of the Department of English at Aarhus University with no or minor revisions. The first part of the journal's title, Leviathan, is meant to evoke the encompassing scope of the journal. In addition, the title is a play on the title of a long-running faculty and student publication: The Dolphin.

The journal is sponsored by the Carlsberg Foundation (Young Researcher Fellowship, 2020).

Peer Review Process

Articles published in Leviathan: Interdisciplinary Journal in English undergo review, in the form of a regular examination, by at least one member of the faculty from the Department of English at Aarhus University. In addition, the editor of Leviathan ensures that published materials conform to the journal's article template.

Publication Frequency

Leviathan: Interdisciplinary Journal in English is published annually.

Open Access Policy

Leviathan: Interdisciplinary Journal in English provides immediate open access to its content.
