Without a theological and dogmatic reading of Grundtvig’s hymns an interpretation of them would be incomplete. The point is demonstrated by a dogmatic reading of Grundtvig’s Christmas hymn “Welcome again God’s little angels” (“Velkommen igjen, Guds Engle smaa”).
