Abstract

Artiklen beskriver vækst og manipulation af organiske nanofibre og deres potentiale i optoelektroniske komponenter. Forfatterne analyserer selvorganiserede nåleformede strukturer med stærk luminescens og diskuterer deres anvendelse i felt-effekt transistorer og organiske nanolasere. Kombinationen af morfologi, krystallinitet og optisk konfinement behandles med fysikfaglig præcision. Der argumenteres for, at organiske systemer kan levere funktionelle alternativer til konventionelle uorganiske halvledere. Artiklen giver et spændende indblik i grænsefladen mellem faststoffysik og molekylær elektronik.
