Abstract

Artiklen giver et stringent overblik over evidensen for mørkt stof – fra dværggalakser til kosmologiske skalaer – og diskuterer, hvad vi faktisk ved om partiklens natur. Bullet Cluster fremhæves som afgørende observation, der effektivt udelukker modificeret tyngdelov som alternativ forklaring. Artiklen gennemgår partikelkandidater, masseintervaller og eksperimentelle søgninger, herunder indirekte detektion via henfalds- eller annihilationssignaturer. For læsere med fysikbaggrund leveres en klar diskussion af tværsnit, vekselvirkninger og kosmologiske begrænsninger. Artiklen balancerer mellem astrofysisk evidens og partikelteoretiske modeller og tydeliggør, hvor usædvanligt det er, at 85 % af universets masseindhold stadig er ukendt. Det er et koncentreret overblik over et af moderne fysiks største uløste problemer.
