Abstract
The article provides a thorough, physics-based analysis of climate change with a focus on observations, models, and uncertainties. Kaas reviews solar radiation, the greenhouse effect, and feedback mechanisms, and discusses both natural and anthropogenic influences. Emphasis is placed on climate modelling and on the distinction between short-term variability and long-term trends. The article equips the reader with the tools to engage with the climate debate on a quantitative and critical basis—without oversimplifying the underlying issues.
