Over the years, KVANT has had a number of editors-in-chief who edited the magazine alongside their work at either a university or a high school: Jørgen Friis Bak (1990–92), Mads Hammerich (1993–98), Jens Olaf Pepke Pedersen (1998–04 and again from 2017), and Michael Cramer Andersen (2004–17). In addition, the magazine is anchored in an editorial board of volunteer editors from universities, research organisations, and high schools. One of the current members of the editorial board has been involved since the magazine was founded.
